We are looking forward to the upcoming meeting in Washington, D.C. on September 21, that will take place at the Kaiser Family Foundation. There are a few seats remaining and you can click here to register as an attendee.
The regional stakeholder meetings held in New York and California in May were, in part, an opportunity to learn about specific innovative EMS projects going on at the local level in the respective regions of the United States. Subsequent to these meetings, and following analyses of focus groups, public surveys on this website, and interviews, many recommendations have emerged to overcome barriers to innovation across several distinct and important areas: Legal and Regulatory, Financial, Education, Medical Direction, Interdisciplinary Collaboration, Regional coordination within EMS, and Data and Telecommunication.
As indicated in the agenda below, each of these themes will receive dedicated time to look at the corresponding draft recommendations for each theme. Members of the National Steering Committee for the P.I.E. project will be leading the individual sessions and every attendee at the meeting will have the opportunity to contribute to the review of the draft recommendation.
